The assault resulted in the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
